People...we can't go through life without interaction from them. However, it's the people you CHOOSE to be around that can have an even greater impact on your life.
I try to stay a positive person. When something not so good happens, I always try to look at the positive side and have faith that everything happens for a reason. I have my sad, frustrating, and upset moments. But I try to quickly push those gray clouds away and let the sun shine through once again. Yes, sometimes those clouds tend to linger just a little longer than you want.
My circle of friends has become smaller and smaller. If I choose to spend time with someone, it's because they have had a positive impact on my life. They are encouraging, supportive, dependable, and I can trust them. They let me be myself and time spent with them is always full of laughter and happiness.
I don't like being around negative people. I don't like to be around people that are constantly complaining about something. They think making a joke at your expense all the time is funny. And some people constantly love drama. Save the drama for your mama because I don't want to be part of it. It's easy to be pulled down by other people's negativity.
I've learned over and over that if you don't like something, change it yourself. Be proactive and take the steps necessary to make things positive. Keep yourself surrounded by people who feel the same.

#100happydays
The past month or so, we've had some issues we had to deal with. After lots of prayer, God showed us what to do and what path to take. Those few weeks of stress just weighed on me until God had clearly given us an answer.
And I realized, I didn't like how that felt.
Though I stayed in prayer during that time, I let the unknown get to me. Instead of focusing on the important matters of the day, I concerned myself with the future. I just was not happy.
I decided to take the #100happydays challenge. It's a great challenge, encouraging people to try to be thankful for at least one thing each day. Over 70% of people fail this challenge!!! I don't like to fail and I am up for this challenge.
I will be posting each happy day on Instagram with some pictures posted on Facebook. Follow me (DesireeLKelley) to see what makes me happy. I challenge each of you to do the same!
